Uluwatu Temple
Uluwatu Temple is one of Bali’s Sad Kahyangan, or six holiest temples, strategically placed around the island to maintain spiritual balance. It serves as a guardian of the southwest direction, protecting Bali from negative forces and aligning with other directional temples to create a sacred grid of energy.
Kecak Dance
The Kecak dance is a Balinese ritual dance that tells the story of the Ramayana, accompanied by the chanting of “cak” by a group of male dancers seated in a circle. The dance uses no musical instruments, but instead relies on the synchronized rhythm of human voices to create a magical atmosphere. Performances often feature fire drama, hand movements, and colorful costumes.
